Almost everything will be happening in Miami South Beach except few events at Space downtown.
Naturally, you want to stay close to the happening!
If you stay at a hotel that organize events, you will have access to event for free.
If you are interested in that option, then it makes sense to choose a hotel that throw the most exclusive ones.
Some of those hotels are
-National
-Shelborne
-Surfcomber
-Eden Roc
In any case, most hotel on Collins are organizing pool parties of different sizes that you can have fun at, because music will be good anywhere!
Fontainebleau and the W have very nice night events that you will most likely have easier access if you stay at these hotels.
The only down side is that these hotel nights are not under $300/night.
So if you want to save on your sleeping time price, you can stay in a hostel :
*Clay hostel, is the place where the girls and I have been staying for the last 3 years on
1438 Washington Ave,
and it is ideally located on Espanola way.
*South Beach hostel is the most recently renovated hostel
235 Washington Ave
There is at least several others hostels all located in the very south part of miami beach. This is a little further from the action but just look on www.hostels.com
to find available spot!
During UMF...
Ultra music Festival is at the bicentennial park, Downtown Miami ;and it is a mess to get there or leave.
You want to chose a location either close enough that you can walk or that make it easy to use metrorail and buses.
